Orange County Fiddle Tune Project

GL-035, 038 & 040 1986 to 1989. This was a joint project between Lotus & Paul, that began with sessions in DrDosido's living room involving just Lotus, with Paul on guitar. It included a trip to Cyprien's house on Grease Gravy Road, south of Paoli, and culminated in a recording session in 1989 in Chicago. The latter was held after hours in the concert hall at the Old Town School of Folk Music on Armitage Avenue, with accompaniment by Dickey's Disciples: Fred Campeau & Steve Rosen on banjo, Jim Nelson on guitar & Paul Tyler on mandolin & guitar. The final session was at recording engineer Flawn Williams' house the following morning. Material from all sessions was published as a double cassette album - Fiddle Tunes from Orange County, Indiana (Marimac, 1991). A 2013 CD - Down the Pike (Vigortone) included material from just the Chicago recordings sessions.
