As I turn 60, it is right
and fitting for me to share some of the sounds and
stories I have gathered in my pursuit of midwestern fiddlers, forgotten
musical histories, and living folk dance traditions.
Along the way, I have met inspiring master musicians who
shared the wealth and wisdom of previous generations. And I made a lot
of friends who like to get
together to play tunes, laugh and chat, or just quietly reflect upon
the joys of life.
DrDosido.net is a framework on which I can post excerpts from field recordings I have made over the last thirty years. The four boxes above lead collectively down a dozen paths. Take a couple of steps down each path to find the recordings. Just about every path has some sound files linked, but this is still only a fraction of the recordings I intend to share. Check the finding aids for a more detailed Road Map and an update on What's New. The boxes below lead to the wordier side of my career as a folklorist.
