Friends of the Chicago Chapter

For a donation of $30 * you can become a friend of the Chicago Chapter of the Fiddle Club of the World. To become a friend, fill out this form and include it with a check made out to The Company of Folk. Your donation is tax deductible. Fiddle Club Friends gain access to a members-only online Fiddle Clubhouse (currently under construction) will receive fabulous premiums, like a Fiddle Club case sticker and a copy of the CD The Fiddlers of Chicago 1: Highlights of the Midwest Fiddle Championship, 2003-2007 when it is issued in January 2015.

Your donation will provide support for
1. Guest artists who provide concerts and teaching jam sessions at Seman Violins.
2. The Fiddle Club blog of recordings, news and other items of interest.
3. Prizes at the 13th Annual Midwest Fiddle Championship scheduled for July 2015.

* You can, should you wish, give more.

World Member

Planned for 2015, a World Membership will provide access to the online Fiddle Clubhouse to those who can’t attend Chicago Chapter meetings.

Email List

A subscription to the Fiddle Club email list is free. It will keep you up to date with all Fiddle Club of the World and other fiddlecentric events in the greater Chicagoland region. It can also provide updates to some Old Town School of Folk Music classes. You can easily opt out the latter when you sign up. And every email gives you an easy way to change your preferences or unsubscribe, no questions asked.

  1. Hi: As the facility coordinator of the Colonel Palmer House in IL I coordinate three free events for the public which interpret local and national history. This summer on June 5, 2016 from 1-4pm we will be showcasing activities/events that drew the community together prior to social media. I noticed that your organization is involved with heritage barn dances and the music associated with it. I would be interested in speaking with your organization about possible participation in this event.
