Fiddlers

Circa 1940. Frank Wisehart (Frankfort). Recordings made at Wabash College by mathematics professor, George Kascallen, on a recording machine owned by the Speech Department. Four 7" aluminum discs containing 8 tunes were preserved by Mr. Wisehart's son-in-law, Roy Litten. Ethel Litten, Roy's wife, played piano. J. Fritz was on banjo

1961. Joe Altman (St. Meinrad) - fiddle & vocals. Joe Altman & the Spaasmachers recorded a custom LP in honor of the centennial of the town of St. Meinrad. The band included Oscar 'Butch' Kunkler on guitar and Vic Beecher on bass. Billy Fisher was the announcer. [Recordings dubbed at Oscar Kunkler's home.]
